At the Risk & Insurance Education Alliance, our Faculty and Educational Consultants work together to deliver 1,500+ dynamic and relevant presentations to our participants. Their mission is to share their unique experience and expertise so that participants are ready to meet the ever-evolving needs of the risk and insurance industry. All of this is made possible by our fantastic Faculty Administration Team!

The Faculty Administration Team’s mission is to recruit, engage, and support these amazing speakers and educational consultants across the country. Our programs just wouldn’t be the same without them!  The team coordinates with many departments and shifting deadlines to prepare and execute inspiring and innovative educational experiences.

Here are a few ways the team spends their days:

Faculty Training and Development

A recent innovation we have implemented at the Alliance is Video Applications for Faculty recruiting submissions. This gives our Head of Faculty and Academic Development, Jay Williams, a dynamic way of reviewing potential applicant’s teaching in a way that wasn’t possible through a traditional “paper application”. If selected, our team assists in designing training plans, connecting trainees with mentors, and providing tech support to ensure a smooth training experience. For newly approved speakers, we proactively plan to offer opportunities as quickly as possible to integrate them into our programs.

Continuous Curriculum and Technology Improvement

The Alliance is committed to continuous improvement by using participant feedback to enhance our programs. Our team ensures that participants are connected with the right team member to quickly resolve any issue stated in course evaluations.

We are actively proposing new topic suggestions to our Academic Directors and Research Academy teams. In the process of developing or revising curriculum, we work closely with faculty, curriculum advisory committees, and internal teams to create detailed summaries for our Academic Directors and the Instructional Design department, incorporating all participant feedback.

Fun fact: A few years ago, a participant suggested adding an Ethics component to the MEGA, and based on this feedback, we've included it in our offerings ever since! Your feedback TRULY matters to us!

Corporate Education Solutions

We provide comprehensive support to our internal Corporate Education Solutions team and Faculty throughout the entire process, from scheduling and selecting the right instructors and topics to ensuring exceptional educational experiences before and after the event. Our commitment is to deliver top-notch events by addressing every detail and facilitating a seamless custom experience for all involved.

State Insurance Associations

The Alliance collaborates with state insurance associations to organize our events. For each event, the Faculty Admin Team confirms that the agenda adheres to curriculum guidelines and standards. We also ensure that approved instructors are scheduled and that all event details are communicated to those handling CE paperwork.

Coordinating Our Advanced Topic Seminars

Our advanced programs, which include live instructor-led Online MEGAself-paced On-Demand MEGA, and James K. Ruble Graduate programs are crafted with input and collaboration from faculty members. These events offer our designated dues-paid members a flexible update option to choose 4-5 advanced sessions over a flexible period instead of the traditional James K Ruble of 4 advanced sessions over two days.

Annually, our team organizes speakers and topics for over 60 live instructor-led Online MEGA sessions. Additionally, we work closely with our speakers and internal teams to introduce new topics to the self-paced MEGA courses.
