David Pierce, MSFS, MSM, MA, AEP®, CLF®, ChFC®, CLU®, Certified Financial Fiduciary®
David Pierce serves as Assistant Professor of Insurance and CLU Program Director at The American College of Financial Services. He holds the O. Alfred Granum Chair in Practice Management and the Charles J. Zimmerman Chair in Life insurance Education.
He served in several roles in the insurance and financial services industry, progressing through the ranks from Advisor to CEO.
He taught at Middle Tennessee State University as Adjunct Professor of Business and Economics, and at Western Kentucky University as Adjunct Professor of Communication.
David earned a Bachelor of Arts from American University, a Master of Science in Financial Services and a Master of Science in Management from The American College, and a Master of Arts in Communication from the University of Minnesota. He holds the AEP, CLF, ChFC, CLU, and Certified Financial Fiduciary registered professional designations.
David built successful teams and winning strategies in sales, management, marketing, communication, and leadership throughout the United States, Southeast Asia, India, and New Zealand.
He created the original “Life Insurance Awareness Week” campaign. The concept rights were granted to LIFE HAPPENS and a national campaign is now recognized throughout the U.S. every September as the industry’s annual “Life Insurance Awareness Month”.
David led the team that created “The AIA Financial Health Check”, Southeast Asia’s first-ever Financial Needs-Based Planning system, still in use 18 years after launch.
His book Five Pillars of a Tremendous Life was published in 2009, reprinted in 2010, and selected as an Amway Book of the Month.
