Join Us in Shaping the Future of Insurance Professionals!
We are excited to invite you to participate in the 2024-2025 CISR High School Program, an initiative designed to bridge the gap between education and the insurance industry by connecting professionals like yourself with high school students eager to learn.
Your expertise and career journey can make a significant impact as a classroom speaker, mentor, or by offering work-based learning (WBL) opportunities.
Types of Volunteer Opportunities:
Classroom Speakers
Seeking passionate industry professionals to share their career experiences and knowledge with students. Speakers are needed at all levels and areas of the industry. The CISR High School Program covers five primary modules: Elements of Risk Management, Personal Auto, Personal Residential, Commercial Property and Casualty, and Life & Health. You can enhance students’ education by bringing real-life experiences to these areas.
Work-Based Learning (WBL)
High school students often need to complete work-based learning hours as part of their graduation requirements. These opportunities, which can range from shadow days to internships or part-time positions, are the hardest to come by in the insurance industry. The Alliance will support employers in structuring a WBL experience that benefits both the employer and the student.
Virtual Volunteers
Unable to participate in person? We welcome virtual volunteers who are interested in speaking to students remotely or recording short videos that can be used throughout the program. Your virtual presence can still have a profound impact, bringing your insights and experiences directly to students, regardless of location.
Mentorship
Mentors play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation by providing insights, guidance, and career advice. Mentorship opportunities will vary by school, and expressing interest does not commit you immediately. We will contact you with more details before pairing you with a student.
Thank you for considering this opportunity to make a lasting impact on the next generation of insurance professionals.
